THIS WEEK IN STAR WARS CONVENTION NEWS: MAY 22, 2021

Conventions are back! Each week I will be recapping the latest convention news for Star Wars fans. To find out where the Star Wars signers will be visit us at Star Wars Actor Appearances by clicking HERE.

We are always updating the listing with convention appearances, book/comic book signings and other opportunities to meet a Star Wars signer and get their autograph. To have an appearance added to the site please email us at appearances@starwarsautographnews.com.

Let’s kick things off with the conventions happening this weekend.

Pensicon is currently happening at the Pensacola Bay Center in Florida and they have an impressive line up of Star Wars signers spanning the entire franchise.

You can keep up with everything happening at Pensacon by following them on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM, as well as the hashtags #pensacon2021

Pensacon had many Star Wars signers cancel or reschedule for their 2022 show, including Ed Asner, Chris Bartlett, Tait Fletcher, Misty Rosas, Gregg Berger, Michael Carter, Gerald Home, James Marsters and Michael Pennigton.

There have been some great guest announcements this week and we’ll start things off with London Film & Comic Con’s five Star Wars guests. As always, many thanks to Gareth Williams for keeping me up to date with the UK convention appearances.

We head over to the US for Retro Expo in Plano, Texas and three Star Wars guests announcements. Official Pix announced they will have Amy Allen, Jett Lucas and Dickey Beer at the show, happening July 23rd and 24th.

Also this week, Barbara Goodson, the voice of Mother Talzin in The Clone Wars, joins Femi Taylor as GFFA signers at Louisiana Comic Con. Many thanks to Eric LeBlanc, the founder of Star Wars Actor Appearances, for sending this listing to me.

Garrick Hagon is scheduled to attend Star of Time Film & Comic Con. A great opportunity to meet “Red Three.”

Last week we learned that Star Wars Celebration will now be happening May 26-29, 2021 and now have confirmation on hotels for the show. VIP ticket holders receive access to official room blocks on June 1st at 12 PM PT, all other ticket holders on June 3rd and the general public will have access on June 10th.

For many of us the world may seem like it’s getting back to “normal” (I know it’s felt like that when I’ve been sitting in rush hour traffic in Boston) but we can still expect convention cancellations in the upcoming weeks.

Montreal Comiccon has postponed their 2021 show scheduled for July 9 to 11 to next summer, from July 8 to 10, 2022 at Palais des Congrès. You can keep up to date with this show by visiting their WEBSITE and following their socials on FACEBOOK, TWITTER and INSTAGRAM.

That’s it for this week. Check back next weekend for the latest Star Wars convention news and visit Star Wars Actor Appearances for the latest listings for autograph signers from the galaxy far, far away.
