Our Boonta Eve event has become a Celebration tradition, so much so you might think the decision to hold the event in London was a given. That was not the case, and we did not make the decision lightly. Even after the success of our show in Anaheim last year there were many factors to consider before going ahead with London. We had weigh potential challenges (and there were many of them) in pulling off the show in another country. Ultimately the benefits far outweighed the challenges and we went ahead with the show, selling out in a matter of days.
For me however, there was one aspect of the show where I had absolutely no concerns: booking our signing guests. I knew the hardest part would be keeping the number of signers to what we could fit in the venue, which I did…barely. After a very busy weekend of finding our Boonta Eve 4 signers, we have made our first announcement.
I love when Celebration “celebrates” something specific, and this year it’s the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi. When booking the Boonta signers it was important for me to represent as much of the saga as possible, but with special attention on Jedi. To help get the Jedi party started, here are our first three signing guests, all with credits in the film: John Coppinger, Alan Flyng and Tina Simmons.
Guests will be bringing photos to sign and prices will be announced as we get closer to the show. They will also be signing your items (at their discretion, of course.) If you have a preferred pen or marker you would like used for your autographs be sure to bring it with you.
The fun is just getting started! Our next round of guests will be announced on Wednesday, March 8th. Stay tuned!
Boonta Eve 4 takes place on April 6th, the night before Celebration begins, at The Breakfast Club in Canary Wharf and we are sold out! For those with tickets, we start at 3pm with the autograph signings which will last until 7pm. After that we will have a break and at 8pm our karaoke contest “Alderaan Idol” begins. We will also have live music from Blue Harvest and plenty of activities to kick off your Celebration experience.
