Star Wars Autograph Collecting is conducting a private signing with Phil “Maxie” McDonald on February 23rd. McDonald worked in the props department on A New Hope.

I am so happy to be able to offer Everyone the chance to add original New Hope Props man Phil “Maxie” McDonald to their collections.
Mr. McDonald was a member of the Props department that worked on the original New Hope movie
He was part of the team that laid the tracks for the Jawa sandcrawler, these tracks were initially laid heading off in the wrong direction, and filming was held up for two days while they were ripped up and re-laid.
He also worked on the Lars homestead and
was part of the team that built the props for the Death Star garbage compacter (out of scrap).
In Tunisia, he was responsible for dressing and tending to Anthony Daniels in the C-3PO costume.
