Let’s start this week off with two changes to the Fan Expo 2021 line up. Both Fan Expo Canada and Fan Expo Boston have been given new dates.
Fan Expo Canada, typically held Labor Day Weekend (US) in Toronto each year, has been moved to October 22-24, 2021. The rescheduled event will be billed as Fan Expo Canada: Limited Edition with only 25,000 tickets available.
Fan Expo Boston (held at the Boston Convention & Exposition Center approximately 12 miles east of where I am writing this) was originally scheduled for August 6-8 this summer. The event will now take place Labor Day weekend, September 3-5, 2021.
I received a message from Thomas, the organizer for the Power of the Force Convention, which is happening September 10-11, 2021 in Cologne, Germany. He sent an update for his current line up for the show, which features over 25 Star Wars guests for his show.
His current line up includes Rodney Tosh, Gary Kiely, Stephanie Silva, Mark Lewis Jones, Orli Shoshan, Sian Phillips, Mary Oyaya, Alan Swaden, Paul Springer, Aidan Cook, Katy Kartwheel, Vic Armstrong, Paul Brooke, Hugh Quarshie, John Mogridge, Tait Fletcher, Eric Walker, Garrick Hagon, Tim Dry, Sean Crawford, Alan Austen, Paul Blake, Brian Herring, Robert Watts and Denis Lawson.
EM-Con announced two Star Wars guests this week. Joonas Suotamo and Richard Brake are scheduled to attend their event being held August 28-29 at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. They join Mike Quinn as their signers from the GFFA.
Washington State Summer Con, happening June 18-20, 2021 at the Washington State Fair and Events Center in Puyallup, Washington has announced several Star Wars signing guests.
Katee Sackhoff, Emily Swallow, Daniel Logan and Sam Witwer leads things off their live action and animation guests.
Next up are comic creators Jim Starlin, Chris Claremont, Chad Hardin and Josef Rubenstein.
Last, but in no way least, is legendary author Timothy Zahn.
We’ll wrap up this week’s updates with Silicon which will take place August 28-29 at the San Jose Convention Center. In addition to Adam Savage, artist Jason Palmer, author Gary Whitta and model maker Fon Davis represent the Star Wars signers attending their show.
