The Joe Johnston Sketchbook Facebook page announced that it has 22 signed copies of Star Wars Storyboards: The Original Trilogy (and I can tell you that number is at least down to 21, because I just bought one.)  The original price for this offer was $139, but has been marked down to $89.  Unsigned copies of the book are going for $25 this morning on Amazon.com (pre-order, it will be released on May 13th) so you are getting a Joe Johnston signature for $65, which I consider to be a reasonable price.

Here’s the information on how you can order, but act fast, because they will not last.

This is a signed First Edition of Star Wars Storyboards – The Original Trilogy. Joe Johnston has signed it and written a Star Wars related message inside. It comes with a COA that’s also signed by Joe Johnston.

This book is almost 4 pounds on its own, not including shipping materials. The cheapest we can ship it overseas is for around $54. That price is not including shipping materials, which will make the book/package even heavier. We will be paying for part of the shipping, too.

  • $89.00
  • $3.99 Delivery (US)
  • $54.00 Delivery (Intl)
Signed First Editions of the new “Star Wars Storyboards – The Original Trilogy” book that Johnston wrote the foreword to are now available. There are only 22 available.

Johnston has said more than once that this is truly the best Star Wars book ever published.

Note to international buyers: This book is just under 4 pounds, making postage rather expensive to ship overseas.

From the ABRAMS website:

About the book

For the first time, Lucasfilm has opened its Archives to present the complete storyboards for the original Star Wars trilogy—the world-changing A New Hope and its operatic sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi—as well as never-before-published art from early conceptual and deleted scenes.
From the opening chase above Tatooine in A New Hope to the Battle of Endor in Jedi, this book presents the visual inspiration behind now-iconic moments. Readers can finally see a full set of storyboards by legendary artist Joe Johnston, as well as early boards for Episode IV by Alex Tavoularis and for Episode V by Ivor Beddoes, rarely seen Episode VI boards by Roy Carnon, and Ralph McQuarrie’s never-before-seen storyboards for Episode V.
