Rhode Island Comic Con has been a destination show for Star Wars autograph collectors since it’s launch in 2012. Their guest list has featured some of the biggest names from the Saga including Hayden Christensen, Gwendoline Christie and Andy Serkis but it’s not just those big names that draw collectors to their show.
The “biggest show in the smallest state” has made booking Star Wars signing guests a priority for all their shows (apologies to Star Wars Autograph News podcast host Cathy Simpson for the one notable exception.) Some years their Star Wars guest list numbers has rivaled (or surpassed) even that of Star Wars Celebration.
It’s been many years since I met a Star Wars signer for the first time at Rhode Island Comic Con but that was the case this year with prop master Bill Hargreaves. While we have corresponded many times on social media this was our first opportunity to meet in person.
I’m pleased to share this interview which Bill was kind enough to conduct with me during his busy weekend signing at the show. I’m sure it will be as clear to you as it was to me that he truly enjoys meeting the fans who visit his table at conventions.
