Phil Tippett will be conducting a behind-the-scenes master class for his series Mad God at Festival Stop Motion Montreal on Saturday, September 21st at 7pm. The end of the class will feature an autograph signing by the Oscar winning special effects pioneer.

“It is with great pleasure that we present the legendary animator and special effects creator Phil Tippett for this very special edition of the Montreal Stop Motion Festival! During this unique experience, attendees will have the chance to see the first three episodes of the MAD GOD series on the big screen in our 30 minute program. From there, Tippett will explore the creative process of this project with the audience.
A unique occasion that should not be missed if you wish to meet a master in the stop motion world and understand the makings of a true legend.
13 years old and older (Horror movies)
VIP passes and individual tickets on sale on Wednesday, August 28th, online, in limited quantities. Also available on site at the Festival box office from September 20st to 22nd, 1400 blvd de Maisonneuve W, Montreal, H3G 2V8
Tickets: 20$+tx (23$)
A service fee of $ 1 per ticket and credit (5%) is applicable on online purchases
An autograph signing session will be closing the event. We are asking for everyone’s full collaboration and respect to make sure everything goes as planned and in order.
Please note that during the Festival, you will have the chance to experience MAD GOD in virtual reality in our designated VR garden.
The documentary Phil Tippett: Mad Dream and Monsters will also be presented as a Canadian premiere Friday, September 20th at 9 PM at the J.A. De Sève Theatre, and at Cinéma Moderne Saturday, September 21st at 3 PM.
