If you’ve been with me for any period of time you’ve no doubt noticed by now that I have a certain “Stephen Sansweet-esque” view to my Star Wars autograph collecting.  If the person has even the slightest connection to Star Wars, I want their autograph.  Case in point…

Needless to say I was quite excited when I heard the latest autograph giveaway from Rebel Force Radio of an exclusive print signed by BBC Photojournalist Matthew Myatt.

I’ve been trying to stay relatively spoiler-free for Episode VII, but with that said, I have seen the famous photos of the Falcon and X-Wing that were taken from above former RAF air base Greenham Common in Berkshire, England. The “Big Three” have been confirmed for some time, so I don’t find confirmation of these ships being in J.J’s Star Wars all that spoiling.

Now the story of how Matthew Myatt came to take the photos is very interesting,and his reaction when he realized what he had, priceless.  I won’t retell the story, but you can read all about it HERE.

I spoke to Mr. Myatt last night (who is an extremely nice guy) and he stated that the winner of the Rebel Force Radio contest will receive a high resolution printed copy of the above image, personally signed by him.
