KLF Sports, the company which reportedly has a contract with Daisy Ridley to conduct private autograph signings, has added her name and a photo of her as Rey from the blockbuster film Star Wars: The Force Awakens to the "Exclusives" page on their website. The signing was announced on Tuesday via the since deleted Facebook page Autograph Signatures Send-Ins, which was created the day before the signing causing many in the Star Wars autograph collecting community to doubt it's authenticity. Many are wondering why a sports-themed website would have a film actress as a signer. In addition to Ridley, legendary actor Al Pacino is also listed as an exclusive signer for the company. Here is some information from the KLF website.

In addition to the brand new Facebook page, the high prices for her autograph alarmed many collectors. Those high prices listed on the Autograph Signatures Send-Ins Facebook page prompted Star Wars Autograph News Facebook Group member Jim Ristway to contact Daisy Ridley on Instagram and ask her to reconsider the prices she was charging fans for this signing. Responses came from Ridley's Instagram account stating she was not doing the signing.
After seeing her comment, which created further distrust of the signing in the community, I reached out to my contacts who are closely involved with the signing, but not running it, and was informed that the company with the contract (later revealed to be KLF Sports) had contacted Ridley's peoiple about the comment. Reportedly during those talks they were asked to take down the Facebook page and move the signing details to the KLF Sports website, as the contract was specifically with them and not Autograph Signatures Send-Ins. Assumably this decision was made at least in part by the many autograph collectors in the community who had spoken out negatively on social media regarding this signing.
The disappearance of the Facebook page without warning, which had been the only announcement of the signing, created further distrust in the community, and one more reason for collectors to be leary, if not vocally suspicious. If the original deadline for send-ins for this signing still stands, Februray 15th, there will be very little time for collectors to get their pieces in for this signing, as it is reportedly scheduled to take place in Los Angeles some time later this month. As of the time of this writing there are no instructions on the KLF Sports site as to how to place an order. I expect we will see more information regarding detials soon as the company gets everything situated.
