Come experience the large array of pop culture genres to be found at the 2015 ConnectiCon

Press Release

Connecticon’s annual convention will take place this year at the Connecticut Convention Center in conjunction with the Marriott Downtown and the Hartford Hilton from July 9th-12th.  The event attracts over 15,000 convention goers each day from across the country.  Attendees will display their cosplay outfits as they explore the opportunities presented by this “massively multi-genre” convention.

This convention features a wide array of exhibitors and guests ranging from George Takei to several 90s TV stars to Deep Roy.  In addition, there will be a myriad of events for convention goers to attend throughout the surrounding area.  Attendees will have the opportunity to party at ConnectiCon’s nerd prom, have an introduction to wand combat, attend panels populated by featured guests, and participate in a wide variety of gaming events from live action role playing to board games and video games.  The huge selection of panels, seminars, workshops, and special events ensure that there is something to interest any member of almost any fandom.

ConnectiCon began in the Summer of 2003 and has continued to expand since its beginning.  Founded by Mathew Daigle and members of the University of Hartford’s “The Guild,” ConnectiCon has become a staple convention for many pop culture fans.  For more information please visit www.connecticon.org, like ConnectiCon 2015 on facebook, or follow ConnectiCon on twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #ctcon2015.
