Alan Harris has reportedly passed away after a long illness. He was 81.

Harris made considerable contributions to Star Wars. Although he is most known for his role as the bounty hunter Bossk in The Empire Strikes Back his first role in the saga was in A New Hope as Princess Leia’s escort on Yavin IV.

Bossk wasn’t his only role in The Empire Strikes Back. He also played a Bespin Guard (later named Merril.) In addition, the mold for Han Solo being frozen in carbonite was cast from his body.
