Those of you who have been with me for awhile know Super Megafest played a very important part in my becoming an autograph collector. It was where I met my first Star Wars actor in person, Billy Dee Williams, in 2006. At the time I couldn’t believe Star Wars celebreties had been coming to Massachusetts and I didn’t know. Fast forward to Super Megafest 2011. I became very sick after the show, and on Wednesday evening, three days after the show wrapped up, I was sitting at my desk putting my Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan autographs away when I got an idea. “I think I’ll make a website.” The rest, as they say, is history.

For the longest time time it was the only place I was meeting actors and getting autographs. Ray Park, Garrick Hagon, Anthony Forrest, Ray Hassett, Gerald Home, Dave Prowse and Femi Taylor have all been guests at SMF since my first show. This year is shaping up to be their biggest showing from the GFFA to date. Jake Lloyod, who was the first autograph I got at Celebration V, which was my first Celebration, was announced as a guest this evening and he joins Nick Joseph, who I met at this very first convention at Elstree Empire Day in 2012, Deep Roy and Bai Ling as representatives from the Star Wars universe.

The band has been featured on NPR and played such high profile shows as New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, ComiCONN, Rhode Island Comic Con and New England Super Mega Fest! High Adventure’s music has also been featured in the soundtrack to the Star Wars documentary The Force Within Us. They will be performing throughout the weekend.
